Brits at the Beach in Tairua… (especially for Easy)

I promised my Weimaraner friend Easy (http://easyweimaraner.wordpress.com/) that I would post a picture of another Weimaraner we saw when we were doing some promotion for Greyhounds as Pets (GAP) New Zealand in October last year. So here is the photo – and a few more from the event, which was called “Brits at the Beach”. We had a wonderful time, and it was a fun day out.

There were over 300 dogs at the event - this is the only Weimaraner we saw :-)

This is Cruz. He's a big, handsome boy. He lives with Sharon and Pete and the beautiful Lettuce. Way back before I came to Mum and Dad, Sharon and Pete did the home-check for my Mum and Dad to make sure our garden was going to be safe for me. Lucky for me - they said 'Yes!' :-)

This is us all in the show ring. Sharon had the mike, and was telling all the people about the work that Greyhounds as Pets does, and what wonderful pets we make. I felt very special, with lots of people looking at us, and clapping and smiling.

  1. Wow looks like you had lots of fun and got all the love and attention that you deserve. Did you see any of Me and Nellie there? Me and Nellie think it is very hot. We do not like being too hot.

    • Hello, Jasper and Nellie. The weather was funny when we went to that event. When we drove down there (which took around three-and-a-half hours, all the way down the Coromandel Peninsula) there were tremendous rainstorms and we thought, oh no! it’ll be flooded! But when we reached Tairua the sun came out, and it was very warm and extremely windy! 🙂

We met lots of different dogs, but no Maremmas! Mum says that just goes to prove how special you are! 🙂

I’m sorry you’re still very hot. Perhaps you should take a trip up here to see us. It looks like rain. 🙂 Stay in the shade and try to keep cool, I’ll do a special Rain Dance for you both.

      Big WOOFS from Solo 🙂

  2. You are still the best looking lad in NZ -so Mum says 😉 Oh and she also says the car Dad is standing in front of looks like a Mk1 Ford Cortina…… Mum is a nerd!

    • WOW! That’s quite a compliment, Deccy – thank your Mum very much for me! 🙂 And my Mum says thanks for the heads-up about the car. Nerds obviously have their uses BOL 🙂

  3. What a beautiful day you had. We are in the middle of winter with snow and ice. Our poor doggies have to wear coats and sweaters all day. Keep up the wonderful pictures it makes us warm.

  4. Thank you very, very much Solo – maybe the Weimaraner is related with me – who knows? That was such a great event, so much dogs and yeah my dad like the cars too – maybe they are related too? I think dog-events are great – all people are nice and friendly and the most dogs too – at this times the world is just perfect ;o)
